Hayward three-way ball valves are used for diverting or mixing flow. The two main configurations are L-port and T-port. Choosing the correct configuration depends on your piping layout and desired flow pattern.

L-Port vs T-Port

L-Port: Used primarily for diverting flow from one inlet to either of two outlets (or vice versa). Common in applications where you need to select between two destinations.

T-Port: Allows flow to be mixed from two inlets into one outlet, or diverted from one inlet to two outlets simultaneously. Offers more flow pattern flexibility.

Actuation Options

Both L-port and T-port valves are available in actuator-ready versions. Electric or pneumatic actuators can be added for automated diverting or mixing control.

Which configuration and actuation method best fits your application? Call 908.362.9981 or submit the inquiry form for expert guidance.
