Our 1-piece ball valves have male NPT by female NPT threaded ports to enable with female NPT ports typical of strainers, filters and tanks for convenient drainage, venting and pressure gauge isolation.  The M x F threads eliminate the need for a pipe nipple otherwise required by standard F x F connection ball valves.
