ProTorq Electric Valve Actuators

 

The ProTorq series ¼ turn electric actuators are built for demanding applications which require precision and reliable performance to deliver up to 40,500 in-lbs of shaft torque.  This is our only electric valve actuator we offer which can be supplied with a spring return for applications requiring up to 2,300 in-lbs of shaft torque. The conscientious design includes a proprietary circuit board built with industrial grade components soldered in-place to eliminate most of the wiring typical of other valve actuator designs and providing superior reliability. 

 

 

Proportional Control

The ProMation configuration enables precise proportional control with automatic calibration to simplify set-up.  These are compatible with input control voltages of 4-20mA, 2-10vdc and 1-5vdc (BUS networking interfacing can also be accommodated).  The ProMation has a self-powered feedback loop generator and a joystick for quick programming.   The circuit board includes fault indicator and display for on-board diagnostics.

 

The spring option for smaller size valves requiring ≤ 2,300 in-lbs of shaft torque is a feature typically used with pneumatic valve actuators and enables the valve to failsafe in the event of power interruption.  Larger valves requiring > 2,300 in-lbs of shaft torque can be installed with our power back-up units (PBU) which will provide back-up power to actuate the valves to the desired position in the event main power is interrupted.

 

Local Control Stations

Whether you want to locate these stations remotely or attached to the valve actuator, local control stations enable you to control the valve and they provide feedback on valve position and power status.
