Hayward® TBB Series True Union Ball Valves
Hayward® TBB series true union ball valves made of PVC, CPVC, Polypropylene and PVDF
The Hayward model TBB true union ball valve is the imported version of their USA made industrial true union ball valve model TBH. Offered in four thermoplastic materials with a choice of EPDM or FPM seals, the TBB true union ball valve satisfies most applications at about 2/3 the cost of the USA made model TBH.
These valves have adjustable (and reversible) seats, turn union body and full port design, so the valves ID is equal to the pipeline ID. Compared to the model TBH it is panel mountable - a feature which the TBH doesn't have. The PVC and CPVC materials are rated for up to 225 PSI of non-shock pressure at 70F whereas the polypropylene and PVFD materials are rated for pressure up to 150 PSI.
The TBB is a manually operated valve and thus if you require an electric or pneumatically actuated ball valve, refer to their model TBH. Likewise if you require lockout capability you will need to upgrade to the TBH true union ball valve.
The model TBB has a compact T shaped handle, thus the "knuckle clearance" is minimal - an advantage in tight spaces and perhaps a disadvantage for glove wearing personnel.
