Hayward® DAB Series PVC Diaphragm Valves

PVC diaphragm valves are available in ½" to 6" sizes having EPDM, FPM or PTFE diaphragms

Hayward DAB series Diaphragm ValveHayward DAB series flanged diaphragm valves

Cutaway view of a Hayward diaphragm valvePneumatically actuated diaphragm valveDiaphragm valves are typically used for liquid slurries because they have a higher flow coefficient value (lower differential pressure) as compared to ball and butterfly valves.  We offer diaphragm valves made of PVC and CPVC with FPM, EPDM or PTFE elastomers.  They employ a simple sealing method for precise flow control without liquid hold-up within the valve body.

The 1/2" through 2" sizes are available with either flanged, FNPT (threaded) or socket (glue) inlet/outlet connections; the 3" to 6" sizes are only available with 150# ANSI flanged connections.  The threaded/socket versions have a true-union style body which enables removing the valve body from the pipeline without disturbing the inlet and outlet pipeline connections.

An ergonomic, easy to grip hand wheel is used to open and close the valve and they are compatible with pneumatic actuators to automate opening/closing for remote or hazardous area installations.  The built-in position indicator has three lines to display degree opened in 33% increments.
