Aircon pneumatic actuators
are provided in both double acting and spring return configurations and come
standard with an extruded aluminum body with
hard anodized finish and polished internal surfaces. Their die cast
aluminum end caps are coated with a powder-polyester paint and can be
supplied with a PTFE or nickel-plated finish if desired. The
largest size double acting Aircon pneumatic actuator can output up to 1,585,800
in-lbs of torque and feature independent travel stop adjustment,
having a range from 5º to 90º rotation.
The spring return version will provide up to 398,213 in-lbs of
torque. Both feature cycle lives up to 1,000,000 cycles and are used
for both valve automation and other pneumatic actuation applications such as
robotics for pushing, pulling, ejecting, opening and closing actions.
Extruded aluminum body with hard anodized finish
Die cast aluminum end caps with powder coated paint, PTFE or nickel plated finish
Special corrosion resistant SS bodies and end caps are optional
Position indicator with NAMUR slot for accessory mounting
Precision nickel alloy steel blow out proof pinion in conformance to ISO 5211 and NAMUR
Dual opposed rack pistons with low friction bearings and guides
Linear torque output through its 0º-90º stroke
Special stroke and 3-position actuators are available as an option
Independent travel stop adjustments of ±5º in both open and closed positions for precise valve alignment
Performance spring cartridges for increased safety and extended spring life
Enables converting a double acting to a spring return version by simply adding spring cartridges
Different torques can be obtained by changing the quantity of spring cartridges
NAMUR solenoid mounting enable direct mounting to actuator
External fasteners are 304SS
All actuators are manufactured within a registered ISO-9001-2000 facility
100% of actuators are inspected and tested prior to packaging and shipment
Each actuator is serialized for traceability
Determine the maximum torque requirement for your valve
We suggest adding a safety margin of 20% for double acting pneumatic actuators and 10% for spring return pneumatic valve actuators
Refer to the applicable pneumatic actuator brochure and based upon your compressed air pressure, select the actuator which satisfies the maximum torque requirement & safety factor
